The HTTP API and the SDKs

Programs can now use the Gateway, not only AI agents.

  • HTTP API. Every tool is an operation: POST /v1/tools/{name}. It uses the same keys, access levels and activity log as MCP. See The HTTP API.
  • SDKs. @basementai/gateway for TypeScript and basement-gateway for Python, with typed arguments and answers.
  • Programs. When you connect, select Program to give a system a key of its own. The list of connected keys and the activity log show it as a program.
  • Activity log. Each call now says what it was about: the record, the codes and dates it used, and how many items a list returned. A call opens with its details. The log keeps 90 days; older months are files to download.
  • Folders. Files and skills are in folders that a person can keep private or share. A key reaches the folders that its person can reach.
