Tasks

The task board of the organization. People and agents create, assign and complete tasks in the same place.
View as Markdown

Tasks is the board of the organization. A task has a number (#57), a title, a status, an assignee and, if you want, priority, due date, notes, checklist, attachments and comments. People work on the tasks on the site. Agents read and create tasks through the Gateway, when their access level permits.

The three lists

ListWhat it shows
MineThe tasks assigned to you, by a member, by you or by an agent.
TeamAll the tasks of the organization.
Created by agentsThe tasks that agents created through the Gateway, for any assignee.

Filter by status (Open or All statuses) and by assignee.

The status

StatusMeaning
to doNot started.
in progressSomebody works on it.
stuckNeeds the attention of a person. The Home page shows your stuck tasks.
doneCompleted. Click Complete on the task. Reopen puts the task back on the board.
canceledNo longer necessary.

The priority is urgent, high, medium or low, or none.

Create a task

  1. In Tasks, click Create.
  2. Type the title. Select the assignee, the priority and the due date, if there is one.
  3. Add notes, checklist items and attachments when necessary.

The Origin of the task shows who created it: a person or an agent.

Comments and mentions

Each task has comments. Write @name to mention a member: Basement sends an e-mail to the person with the comment.

Tasks that agents create

An agent with an access level with task write creates tasks and changes their status. The task goes to the person who connected the agent, unless the agent names another member. The Created by agents list shows all of them.

Some services also create tasks. When an agent schedules a reply or a change in MultiDados for a date, Basement creates a task for the member. The scheduled action appears on the board.

For developers

The tools list_tasks, create_task and update_task do the same through MCP, the SDKs and the HTTP API. See Tasks through the API.
